2362 Market Street is steeped in city history. Here, Catch makes its mark in a storefront registered as an official city landmark that originally housed the burgeoning NAMES Project, which famously organized the creation of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. The history remains with the building, but Catch aims to create a new legacy while honoring the spirit of creativity and expression rooted in its surroundings.
This was my second time at Catch French Bistro. It has become my favorite restaurant in the Castro District. The food is excellent. The ambiance is perfect for a single diner. I sat next to the fire place on a cool evening. I will be back the next time I am in San Francisco.
No need to endure the waterfront mobs to get an exceptional seafood experience. Catch in the Castro is phenomenal. The ambiance is beautiful, the waitstaff excellent, & all of our dishes were expertly prepared, seasoned, & plated. Easily one of our best dining experiences during our 5 day vist.
Let me start by saying this was the BEST clam chowder I have ever had! Hearty and delicious are the words I would use for the starter and the entree that I had. Seafood stew and fish trio were amazingly fresh and tasty.
This place is GREAT. Granted I've only come here only once BUT the food was so delicious, flavorful and well worth the price. Absolutely cannot wait to come back especially for the Cioppino (pesto risotto was also delectable)
Located in the LGBT section of San Francisco this is a very nice place to stop and eat. They have a mostly sea food menu. This is one of the only places in the country you can see parts of the Quilt project. It is an amazing piece of history. This along with the area around it is one that a person visiting San Francisco should definitely check out.
